The Scribbler's on Hiatus.

Since Thanksgiving, life has gotten quite interesting. Financial screwups on my part have caused my net access at home to be disconnected until further notice, My brother Darwin passed away shortly after Christmas leaving me the last apple on my branch of the family tree and also in charge of the house that he and I shared for the last 20 years.

This is a challenging development to say the least because I can barely afford the utilities on what I make. But I am strengthened by the support I have received by my church family who have adopted me and have made sure that I am taken care of. In all things, give thanks. This is the mantra I've been taking to heart the last month or so. And so far, that prayer has been answered in many unexpected ways.

So props to the people of Holy Cross, Homewood for their support and love during my time of bereavement.

I'm reduced to blogging via Blackberry until I get my Internet access back up hopefully in the spring. But considering that five people and a Cocker Spaniel read this thing, It's no big deal. More to come soon.
